The Geckos are eating ants that have been "baited" with one of those jam containers that you get at restaurants.

For the hydration plan - here is what I think it comes down to:

Gatorade Endurance: 8 8oz (64oz) servings: that comes out to be about 400 calories

Water: about 24-36 oz

Gu: 3 packets - 300 calories (of which the last was with caffeine)

Cliff Shot Bloks: 2 servings of regular 1 of 3x sodium - 300 calories

Maintained hydration on the run and cu way back on the "food intake" maybe only two power gel packets on the course.

I will follow up with a complete gear/food use report in a few days.

Hey- can you give me an idea of how many bottles you took in per hour on the bike? Maybe calories too if you have that info but trying to get an idea of how much liquid/per hour you were ingesting on a hot bike like that. Thanks!
